Se puede llegar por Alcoy a través de Benilloba, pero recomendamos ir por Benidorm, salida Callosa, se tarda lo mismo y vas por autovía, mas kilómetros pero menos sufre el coche.
Las Fuentes de Algar o "Fonts d'Algar" están entre los municipios alicantinos de Callosa d'Ensarrià y Bolulla. Es un lugar precioso. Se trata de una sucesión de fuentes y cataratas naturales provinentes de la montaña, que desembocan en el río algar y que han formado unas pequeñas lagunas en varios tramos y niveles del lugar. Aunque antiguamente se podía disfrutar de este lugar libremente el turismo y el aprovechamiento del lugar han hecho de éste un lugar turístico al que para poder entrar hay que pagar una entrada. La entrada para los adultos es de 4€ y para los niños es de 2€ (2011). Además, en la zona hay varias parcelas destinadas a aparcamiento con un precio máximo de 5€. Justo antes de entrar a las instalaciones, hay además un pequeño restaurante donde se puede quedar a comer ya que no se puede entrar comida al recinto de las fuentes de algar con el objetivo de preservar el lugar. También hay un restaurante un poco más abajo en el que te dan derecho a disfrutar de la piscina si te quedas a comer allí.Cuidado con los menús "económicos"(10€) ya que te quedas con hambre si eres de buen comer, hay otro de 18€.
Ya que el agua es de río, podreis imaginar que está super fría, hay que tener mucho valor a meterse en el agua o estar acostumbrado.
Eso sí, os recomiendo a los que vayais que lleveis zapatillas especiales para río,ya que hay zonas muy resbaladizas que se hacen muy dificultosas sin este calzado.
